IETE Delhi
Center was established in the year 1974-75. During 1998, it moved in
its own permanent building at Institutional Area, Pankha Road,
Janakpuri, New Delhi-110058. It is one of the top centers of IETE.
The center has been actively involved in professional development
programmes of the institution, notably in respect of seminars at
National and International levels, Technical lectures on various
current topics from time to time to promote advancement in
Telecommunication, Electronics and IT field. This center also
organizes placement lectures, personality development programmes for
the betterment of students in this cooperative society.
Delhi center
of IETE is conducting guidance classes for DIPIETE, AMIETE and ‘O’
and ‘A’ level courses of DOEACC for about 1500 students at Janakpuri
and Lodhi Road. At present the center is having a corporate
membership of about 2000 and student members of about 5000.
IETE Delhi
center has taken a lead to provide and establish one ‘Eklavya
Auditorium’ for its students and members. Delhi center is the first
center of IETE where the “Eklavya Channel” is being screened.
Eklavya Channel is the technology channel established by Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT) and IGNOU on 26th January 2003. This
channel provides technical education and disseminates programmes
created by experts in IIT Delhi, Kharagpur and Chennai.
As another
initiative, IETE Delhi center has established a Marconi Lab with
state of art Test and Measuring equipment. This lab has been
furnished keeping in mind the REB requirements of the students and
with an aim towards polishing their together with degrees and
diplomas.
Center is
professionally managed by a team of elected executive members who
are pivotal in conducting guidance classes, examinations, tutorials
and seminars etc.
